Tracktacle Alerts delivers real-time email updates, advanced keyword filtering, customized summaries, and watchlists. Effortlessly monitor filings, press releases, and news to stay ahead of critical stock movements before the market opens. Additionally, watchlists help organize your research and provide comprehensive access to all filings and press releases for a stock.

  1. Adding stocks to your watchlist and setting up alerts

When you first log in to Tracktacle, your watchlist starts empty, with no alerts set. You'll likely want to add stocks right away to stay updated.

Our first step is to add stocks to our watchlist and set up email alerts for those already in our portfolio. To do this, we simply click on the "Add Stock" button in the upper right corner.

We search for the company's name or ticker and click on 'Add Stock.' The 'Create email alerts' box is checked by default, ensuring we never miss important news about your stocks.

It’s also possible to add stocks to your watchlist without receiving alerts, so be aware of the implications. If you just want to fill your watchlist to remind yourself to do more research later, you may want to uncheck the 'email alert' box to avoid receiving irrelevant information.

We should see the stock we added to our watchlist, along with the most recent news and filings for that stock, giving us a comprehensive view of its updates.

  1. Setting up Search Term Alerts and adjusting related account settings

Tracktacle Alerts not only notify you for specific stocks but also when a specific phrase appears in filings.

In our example, we want to receive an alert whenever a filing or press release includes the phrase 'Strategic Review' for stocks with a market cap between 400 and 2,000 million, originating from the U.S., and not in the energy sector. We click the 'Add Search Term' button and configure the filters accordingly

It’s possible to receive a notification whenever a filing matching these filters is released, but we don’t recommend it. This can lead to a flood of filings that are more noise than signal, distracting you from the ones that truly matter for the stocks on your watchlist.

If you find yourself receiving many irrelevant filings, you can adjust the filter settings by clicking the edit button on the right.

We recommend setting up a dedicated email address for this purpose and enabling push notifications for it, ensuring that you receive notifications on your mobile phone as soon as news comes in. To do this, click on the account icon in the upper right corner, then go to account settings.

Enter an email address and click on the 'Verify & Save' button. After that, check your inbox to verify the email address.

Another important setting is the 'Daily Summary Preferences,' which allows you to receive a summary at a set time for your 'Search term alerts.' Since these may not be as time-sensitive and could lead to a flood of emails, you might prefer to review them all at once in the evening after the market closes and set the time accordingly.

  1. Company detail page

Whether you click on a ticker in your watchlist, in the search bar, or after performing a Document Search, it will always lead you to the company detail page for the corresponding stock. In the upper right corner, you'll find two buttons—one to add the stock to your watchlist and another to set alerts. A green eye icon indicates that the stock has been successfully added to our watchlist, while a blue bell indicates that an alert has been set.

Besides a rough overview of the company's attributes and a stock chart, you can view the latest press releases and filings at the bottom of the screen.

Clicking on the different tabs allows you to filter for Filings, Insider Filings, or Press Releases

Clicking on the main 'Financials' tab provides a comprehensive overview of the company’s financials. Using the drop-down menus, you can switch between the cash flow statement and balance sheet, as well as toggle between annual and quarterly figures.

Additionally, you can download the data to build a valuation model in a spreadsheet.

We also offer a simple note function where you can, for example, add useful links.

Once you’ve taken notes, you can easily spot them through the Notes icon on the Watchlist and access them by clicking on it.

You’ve now learned the most important aspects of Tracktacle's Watchlist and Alerts, which should help you stay ahead of other investors and provide a simple solution to organize and access all the documents you need for your research. We’ll continually add features that will make it even easier for you in the future.
